Inspiration Challenge #8

This is my entry for Keesh's Inspiration Challenge — just in time! The photo is not the best as I had to take it inside under poor lighting because I've left it 'til the last minute to get the entry in, and there's no daylight left. Ooops!

The colours are Sahara Sand — for the background, Melow Moss and Always Artichoke. I've applied some white pastel with a blender pen, to highlight some areas of the stamped image. The images are all from the Fresh Cuts stamp set.

Anyway… I have to keep moving, there's much to be done still before I hit the pillow : ) hee hee 

Birthday Gift Card

It is my brother in-law's birthday tomorrow and because they live so far away I am sending a gift card. I wanted to match the colours of the card to the gift card — Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke went perfectly. I have chosen the Trendy Trees stamp set, the Funky Forest wheel and a greeting from Upsy Daisy set. The DSP is a scrap from Le Jardin, which was one of last years papers.

Inside I have made a little pocket for the gift card to go. I have rolled the Funky Forest wheel over and over without re-inking, on some Always Artichoke card stock to form this background effect — it makes it look even more like a forest.

And here it is with the gift card inside!

Hand Drawn Bundle

Well I managed to get some time in the office today to do a little creating — just a little! 

Here is the creation, a simple card using the Hand Drawn Bundle — a level 3 hostess gift. In this set you get 4 cute little stamps, a set of Rub-Ons and some Designer paper that all co-ordinate. I have stamped the cupcake image in Riding Hood Red ink. The Happy Birthday greeting is one of the Rub-Ons. A little of the DSP, some matching cardstock and ribbon and 'voilà' — quick and simple! I just looooove the new in-colour Riding Hood Red : ) My favourite colour!

A cute little gift

There has been so much on over the last couple of weeks — I haven't had time to participate in any challenges — I haven't had time do do much creating at all — boo hoo  : (

Anyway, I thought I'd show you something I did a while ago. At convention we were shown how to make a "sunny boy" or "sour cream" container using a piece of DSP cut in half, then in half again. These ones I made way back in April for a Stamp Camp that I held (seems so long ago!). Each guest received this little gift with a chocolate inside as they arrived. If you cut the DSP in half, then into thirds, you get six out of one sheet instead of four. They are a bit shorter and just the right size for a Lindt Ball — my favourite : )
